Python (Objektorientierte Programmierung)

Object-oriented programming: Students learn an object-oriented programming language (Python).

They know the common solution patterns in practice for certain recurring problems in the chosen programming language.

They will be able to program confidently and consider the compiler specifics for generating the optimal machine code.

Software Engineering: Students know the main processes involved in the implementation of a software project:

- Requirements analysis (specifications, functional specifications, product model).

Students can independently carry out a software project and identify and solve problems specific to technical applications

These weekly English courses are designed for all interested employees of the FHI. Participants generally include office and technical staff, with occasional scientiists. Classes run from September to June, with no classes during school holidays.

A2/B1.1: Our focus is on conversation and the participants' daily life. We also review grammar basics as needed and read easy English books. Occasionally, we practice basic written English, e.g. for emails.

B1.2-B2: Our focus is on building vocabulary and general communication skills connected to the workplace and to current affairs. We sometimes include technical English (Inch by Inch, MPG developments), but the main focus is on society and culture.
